Grandview Acres is located in the picutesque Knutsford area, just a few minutes south of the City of Kamloops. The address of premises being 3531 Long Lake Road, Knutsford, B.C.
The Knutsford area has deep roots in the cattle ranching industry dating back to the early 1850's.
Part of the old Brigade Trail between Kamloops and Hope was established by the Hudson's Bay Company for the fur trade to carry the year's trade south.
Homesteaders have been operating their ranches and moving cattle throughout the area
since the late 1800's.
Today, Knutsford thrives as one of the few remaining areas where multi-generational families continue to operate their ranches as their primary livelihood.
Families like the Jacksons, Haughtons, Pains, DeLeeuws, Froleks, Philips and others
were early settlers whose great grandchildren are seen today reining the operations,
participating in the 4-H movement and are active members of the Kamloops business
community.
The landscape and setting of the "Kamloops Cattle Country & Barbecue" experience is a
stunning, open vista of rolling grasslands with views over the agricultural land that abuts
the city limits.
The large hall building known as "GRANDVIEW LODGE" , camping area, facilities for weddings, reunions, banquets and special occasions, barbecue facilities and general siteseeing will be a positive experience for all. WE NOW ACCEPT MASTERCARD & VISA.
